Alumni, Affiliates, and Other Accounts Hub
Alumni and Friends
The Alumni and Friends Association is for everyone. You could be a student living and studying on one of our beautiful campuses, learning from a distance, or a friend of the university. The Alumni and Friends Association is a community that works together to create a space for UAS connectivity, engagement, and support. They offer career development and network resources, raise money for student scholarships, and host a variety of programs and events both on and off campus for students, alumni, friends, and affiliated networks. Learn more on the Alumni website.
Former students who would like to extend their email access may join the Alumni and Friends Association. Recent UAS Graduates who would like to join the Alumni and Friends Association receive a discount on the year-long subscription.
University of Alaska Affiliates
UAA/UAF/Statewide Affiliates
Affiliates with active accounts from other UA campuses can log in immediately to UAS resources such as student-use computers and UAS Online. No further action is necessary. Account expiration is managed by the user’s primary campus, MAU affiliation.
Guests or Sponsored Access
Conference Attendees, Contractors, Etc.
Deans and Directors may request access to technology resources in support of a specific endeavor for a specific period.
If the individual is already in Banner, IT Services will simply activate the account by assigning a special role and expiration date. If the individual is not yet in the Banner system, their information will need to be entered there to generate a UA Username. UAS Departments can contact either the Registrar or the IT Services department to have an individual added to Banner. Once this has been done, IT Services can activate the account immediately by assigning a special role and expiration date.
If you are working with someone who needs sponsored access, please ask your Dean or Director to email the UAS IT Helpdesk. The Helpdesk will need the requested information:
- The name of the individual
- UA ID or username (if in Banner) or DOB if not in Banner
- The person's role or relationship to the University
- A brief description of what resources the person will need to access (computers, email, local fileshares, etc.)
- The start/end dates access is needed (not to exceed 1 year)
